Join OM System Ambassador Lee Hoy in one of his favorite winter wonderlands as we we learn how to photograph wildlife and landscapes in winter scenes. Mastering exposure, autofocus, composition and fieldcraft in winter scenes is completely different than other photographic situations. We will learn some of the computational features in OM System cameras that apply to landscape photography. In our search for moose, bison, coyotes, mule deer, and more; we will also learn panoramic landscape images with high res shot. And, if the weather cooperates, we may get a chance to do some star trails in the winter sky! We will also do some street photography with the Jackson Hole town square decorated for Christmas. By going right after Thanksgiving, we take advantage of a quiet time when ski season hasn't started but winter is underway!
Bring your tripod, your remote shutter, your super telephoto lens, your sense of adventure, a desire to learn, and a willingness to experiment! If you do, you will experience the magic of Grand Teton National Park in winter!
Lee has created a workshop to help you master winter landscape and wildlife photography in one of the most beautiful winter destinations!
This workshop will primarily teach you macro photography with macro and telephoto lenses, flash, supplemental lighting, and natural light.
Lee has served as an OM System Ambassador since April 2019! He offers OM System Mentorship Programs and knows the OM System gear inside and out!
Program custom modes for wildlife and landscape photography so that you quickly access the important settings for Autofocus, exposure, computational features like live composite, focus stacking, live graduated neutral density filter, art filter 10 II, and so much more!
This workshop is part of the Part 2: Mentorship Program which is a group of workshops designed to teach and inspire fieldcraft for specific photographic situations. These include pre-workshop videos to help you prepare! We also offer pre-workshop zoom meeting to help you prepare for the trip by discussing clothing, camera gear, accessories, travel suggestions, and more. It also includes a post workshop group zoom meeting for an image critique discussion for those who opt to share images for critique. Both sessions will be recorded and provided for repeated viewing.
